This week I share with you my 5 top tips for growing strong seedlings. It took me a while to understand that you can’t just throw some baby plants in any old spot and expect them to grow strong and produce great food. Here are my 5 tops tips.

  1. Be prepared to transplant – seedlings protected in the shade, tools, water
  2. Choose the right time to plant – no seedlings like being messed within the heat of the day.
  3. Select the strongest – this will help prevent overcrowding and putting time and energy into weaklings. I also share what to do with the leftover seedlings.
  4. No rooting around – minimal disturbance of seeding roots is a must
  5. Tuck them in!! – Yep, mulch, mulch, mulch.
