As long as I can remember I have always wanted to live on my very own piece of land, rescue, and care for animals & live a life that is aligned with nature.

No matter where I have lived I have always had something edible growing. Back in my very early adult years when money was tight I would save up all my plastic yogurt containers, milk bottles, and glass jars and grow anything I could. Come to think of it, not much has changed there.

Welcome to our little Slice of Heaven Farmlet.

It was only in 2016 that we made my childhood dream come true.

As soon as we arrived at the property for the first time we knew this was it. The views were amazing and the feeling was like coming home.

Since then we have been busy getting gardens going, refurbishing the chicken coop (I think we are up to version 3),  renovating the shed to make way for stables and workshop, installed solar and water harvesting measures, even renovating the old farmhouse!

We have and continue to learn so much about sustainable agriculture, permaculture, and self-sufficiency that we want to share it with you.

Whether you have a farm, a backyard, a sunny spot near a window or you’re a part of a community garden we hope you take away some practical and simple to implement tips and the confidence to give them a go.

Welcome to our little Slice of Heaven Farmlet.
